A Valeo bought 5 years ago just black-deathed in my wife's 97 Cav.
A Denso bought now only gives 175 psi head pressure at idle, 300 psi and blows cold at 2500 rpm.
I am tired of replacing compressors. And the "junk" brand outlasted what I thought was a "good" brand.
Just want some thoughts as to people's comparative experiences between brands. Aside from these 2 I have 2 more cars with weak compressors that I would like to replace but I don't want to waste my time with junk.
Even the best compressors can choke to death if serviced improperly........just a thought.

The number one A/C diagnostic tool there is- is to know how much refrigerant is in the system- this can only be done by recovering and weighing the refrigerant!!
Just a thought.... 65% of A/C failures in my 3200 car diagnostic database (GM vehicles) are due to loss of refrigerant due to a leak......
Frankly I have seen as many failure with "name brands" as I have with any of the China imports. As GM Tech mentioned, it is how the installer prepped and maintained the system which proves the best results.
