Too many choices in compressors-which one!

Malc on Wed July 18, 2012 7:28 PM User is offline

Year: 1992
Make: Ford
Model: E-150 w/ rear air
Engine Size: 5L
Refrigerant Type: R12

Need to replace the compressor on the above van. AC Kits didn't specify the type, Autozone Parts list 2 or 3 different types, Oreilly's 2or 3 types, Rock Auto 5 or 6 types.
Mine looks like the FS6 but the E6DH looks exactly like it also. What's the difference? Thanks for any help.

Yes, mine looks like the one for "Factory Installed Air" but what is it?
My original quest. was "what is the difference between FS6 and E6DH?" Are they interchangeable?

Now I'm really confused. Your more detailed page of the "Factory Installed" compressor shows it to be a Fs6. Now that I've been able to get under my hood, I see mine has E6DH molded into it. Will your 20-10702 still work?
Thanks again
