05 corolla ac compressor wont turn on, it has pressure, power at compressor but magnetic clutch wont kick in. I took off and when i apply 12 volts directly it the magnetic clutch will engage then.

Clutch air gap between the pulley and the clutch plate may be too wide. Or the coil was not grounded when on the car.

found it bad wire connector
