I have reseald my compressor . Does any one know the torque spec for an GM HT6 compressor.
Thx Ed
You referring to the through bolts? I usually just use "mechanics torque" but I believe the spec is 12-15 Nm. Anything over 6 Nm seals the unit....the extra is for safety factor.

The number one A/C diagnostic tool there is- is to know how much refrigerant is in the system- this can only be done by recovering and weighing the refrigerant!!
Just a thought.... 65% of A/C failures in my 3200 car diagnostic database (GM vehicles) are due to loss of refrigerant due to a leak......
O.K. 9 to 11 ft lbs
Thx Ed
