Clutch ASSY?

Plaidman on Sun August 14, 2011 12:53 AM User is offline

Year: 1998
Make: Mazda
Model: 626ES
Engine Size: 2.5L
Refrigerant Type: R134
Country of Origin: United States

Is it possible to only change the clutch assy on a 1998 Mazda 626ES 2.5L? The bearings and possibly the clutch itself have worn out resulting in a broken fan belt. I believe the compressor is still good.

Thanks, Charlie

Sure. But a lot of times the clutch assembly cost as much as a new import compressor.

And to do the job without releasing any refrigerant, it depends on how much room you have on a specific vehicle.
