What do you guys recommed to reseal two halves of an Evaporator box back up and what can be used around the perimeter of the evaporator itself to make sure it is making a tight seal inside the box.
I don't recall the new evaporator have anything surrounding the outside perimeter to seal it against the inside of the evap box. Someone suggested to me that maybe the evaporator is not sealing inside the box and letting the hot inside air to go around the evap instead of through it, causing the vent temps to be high. Thanks for any info.

Has no one here had to reseal an evap box?

Silicon and prestite tape works for us.

How about aluminum tape? It is super sticky, conforms easily, and is removal if you ever need to get back in.
Thanks for the help.
I like my 3M Strip Calk 08578:
Really neat and easy to apply, perfect width too. I've been using it probably since I was a kid. It also stores very well.
Good for covering up TXV sensing bulbs too.

Thanks Joe, someone else recommended this stuff to me and is what I plan on using.
