1992 Allegro Bay motorhome.
40 degrees at evaporator outlet tube
79 degree air at vents
I checked the vacuum control doors and everything works fine.
Even unhooked them to operate manually and no change
Seems like it should blow colder than it is.
Hopefully the problem isn't inside the ac box because it is not easily serviceable.
Any suggestions appreciated.
I'm having the same problem on a 2000 S10 I'm working on. I have not fixed it yet but I think I may know what the problem is.
I discovered yesterday that the control for the hot/cold on the control panel is electrically operated instead of vacuum like the other controls. I now have to pull the electric actuator and see if it's broken. I found out these electric actuators are a known problem on this truck. I also thought that everything with the control panel was vacuum operated which was not the case.
You might check the back of your control panel to verify what type of control the hot/cold knob or lever uses. It sounds like a blend door issue. Good luck.
