Year: 1998
Make: Ford
Model: Mustang
Engine Size: 3.8 L
Refrigerant Type: R134A
Ambient Temp: 93
Pressure Low: 120
Pressure High: 120
Country of Origin: United States

1998 ford mustang, 3.8L, FS10 compressor/orifice tube type system. Measured static pressure of system (engine off), approx 110 psig. With engine running, both low side and high side pressures are at approximately 125 psig, compressor does not cycle on. Ambient air temp 93-95F. I took the serpentine belt off and checked the compressor rotation, it felt a bit rough but I am not sure how free it should turn. Sound like a bad compressor???

Thanks

If the compressor doesn't try to engage, it's something else. Check the cycling switch, jump it if two wire type. See if voltage is reaching the clutch coil.
