Why does the coil need to be replaced? What is the problem and what diagnosis procedure was utilized ? Clutches should be replaced in complete assemblies.

Can you slide more than three business cards or two match book covers between the clutch plate and hub? If so, you need to adjust the clutch gap or a new clutch probably isn't gonna do much good - and you're gonna have to adjust the clutch gap when you replace the coil, since the clutch will need to be removed.

Chrysler part number for the complete clutch assembly is 5093765AA - coil is not sold separately - which lists for $319.00! Check with the site sponsor if they can get a clutch, and for $319 they can probably get you a whole new compressor, with change to spare.

Like we've said, adjust the clutch first!

We have available both a Sanden and Sanden knock off compressor for less then the clutch assembly price you listed.

Still not sure with the data provided a replacement is needed.

The OP is not listening to what was said. He has a post about 10 further down with the same complaint, was told the same thing, gap or weak coil, and has decided he needs a coil.
He will spend the money rather than taking the time to measure the clutch gap. His choice.

I still vote for the broomstick test. Thump it with a broomstick when it is supposed to be clutched, and see if it grabs and holds. If it does, adjust the gap to the smallest as recommended above.
No more time to waste here.
