1999 Grand cherokee

I have been doing some research and found out in 2002 Chrysler made improvements to the Grand Cherokee's Air condition system. http://wjjeeps.com/newoptions2.htm
I have personally been in a 1999 and a 2004. The 2004 had much much more volume of air moving out the vents. Does anyone here know what was changed? I currently have a 1999 and I am trying to increase the volume of air out the vents. I have changed the motor with a 2004 and that did nothing. It is sad but I am actually considering selling the jeep because of how poorly the air flow is. I know there is nothing broken with the jeep because I have been in a few pre-2002 grands and they are all the same. If you have any ideas how to help let me know. There are many in my position looking for a fix.

They changed the plenum box design behind the glove box.Right about the same time they redesigned the blend door,on 99-2001 they had major problems with the dual Auto Zone control feature.
