Good Day All,
My name is Errol Leat and have just moved to South Africa from the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. My things are different here. I am used to working on Land cruisers etc with the working space of a battle ship. Now I confronted with a Renault Laguna 2. This car's air con is computer controlled and everything is hidden away. A fault has appeared in that one cabin air vent blows cool air while the other remains warm. I know that there must be two electrically operated valves. But how do you get to them and hoe does one get the the sensors so as to check them for serviceability?
Any help will be most welcome with thanks
Errol Leat
I don't know anything about how that car is made, but I do know that some GM luxury cars will do that simply because they are undercharged. Without enough refrigerant, the whole evaporator doesn't get evenly cold, and the vents are drawing from different parts of it. So you should start by recovering the charge and recharging by weight to remove that as a possible cause.
