Hi

This year i have noticed that the turbo comes in quite late when i have the aircon on.Before you wouldn't know i had the aircon on when it comes to driving the car it would pull away nicely,But now if im at a junction or roundabout i have to turn it off,Could it be the aircon doesn't have the correct level of gas so it has to work harder which in turn is putting strain on the engine which is making the turbo kickin later? It got regassed two years ago.

Cheers

Hi

Well i did think it was to do with the gas but im not so sure now as it seems to be ok when the weather itsn't to hot,I noticed it when we had some really hot days.

Im getting it gassed next week so i can then find out if it was over gassed or under.

Well it is an SD7V16 compressor on that motor..... the warmer it is the more it has to work, so the more you will notice as it gets warmer.... Who recharged it previously? did they do the job right? did they apply a vacuum? is it overcharged? how does it cool? thase cars should cool well... Did you ever get the previous faul fixed? Does the compressor feel free and smooth? has too much oil been put in the system? Are the fans working as they should? is the condenser clear?....... Check this little lot and let us know what you find, some pressures high and low would be good too
