Orifice Tube

psdstu on Thu April 21, 2011 2:14 AM User is offline

Year: 1997
Make: Ford
Model: F250
Engine Size: 7.3
Refrigerant Type: 134

I have a 1997 Ford, F250, 7.3L Diesel and I was wondering what the factory color orifice tube is?

I have been thinking about installing a variable orifice tube, or a smaller size tube.

Can anyone tell me which size variable orifice tube I should install?

I live in Florida.

Thanks

Variable tubes are usually a waste of time and money. They are only somewhat useful on a slow rpm engine such as a mail carrier's vehicle that does not get up to speed. Use the OEM.

Thanks.

Is there anything to be gained by going with a smaller orifice tube?

I have read that if I put in an orange tube .056-.059 that it will help make the air cooler?

Thanks

Bump....

Still looking to see if going to an Orange Orifice tube will help.
