AC compressor will not shut off

kevinprince on Thu March 24, 2011 2:58 PM User is offline

Year: 2007
Make: Freightliner
Model: Columbia
Engine Size: 6cyl
Refrigerant Type: 134
Country of Origin: United States

My a/c comressor stays on. I have all the dash switches turned off, yet the ac compressor continues to operate making cold air come out the vents when going down the highway. Only way to get it to stop is to unplug the compressor. Any ideas? Thanks

If you can get a hold of a wiring diagram, trace the clutch circuit to see if you have a clutch relay that may be stuck closed. Hope this helps and good luck..

That fixed the problem. There was a HVAC relay. I replaced it and now it works great. Thanks for the advice
