What pressures

What pressures should I get at 80 and at 85 degrees. I have the service manual for the car but the chart is not easy to follow.

In 80-85 degree weather, readings should be around 300psi on the high and 30psi on low

Thanks.
How much pressure can these systems take before something blows?

High pressure switch should trip and stop compressor around 450 psi, before anything blows.

True, but you will have long lost the ability to transfer heat with anything over 375 psi. Best to have a high operating pressure in the 300 range with a proper charge level.

Should have a sight glass on that car, engine at 2,000 rpm, blower at max, doors open, just charge until just a trace of bubbles still appear, 85*F is the ideal temperature for that.

Can use gauges just to verify, would expect more like 28/230 for pressures. Now if you see like zero on the low side, 430 on the high side, you have other problems. But then you won't be getting ice cold air either.
