SD709 ok for 134a?

Year: 1991
Make: Jeep
Model: Cherokee
Engine Size: 4.0

Starting on the A/C system on my Jeep XJ. The current SD709 is shot. If I go with another 709 will it work ok with 134a? If not, it looks like the SD7H15 has the same mounting configuration. Or is there something else better that I should be looking at? I live in Phoenix so good A/C is a must!

Thanks!

SD7H15 is the better option. Main issue is going to be the condenser not removing the extra heat load of the R134a refrigerant. I would consider a condenser up grade if converting this vehicle.

Thanks! Everything from the firewall forward is getting replaced, including a parallel flow condenser from AMA.
