Pressure question

ford641 on Sat August 21, 2010 6:57 PM User is offline

Year: 1996
Make: Jeep
Model: cherokee
Engine Size: 4.0
Refrigerant Type: 134a
Ambient Temp: 90
Pressure Low: 42
Pressure High: 270
Country of Origin: United States

Took readings off my new (old) Cherokee today and found the above pressures. It cools about 58 degrees out of the vents on recirculate at idle in the driveway. Are these pressures and temp about what I can expect? Thanks

1. Are those pressures at idle speed or at about 1500 rpm? If idle, post 1500 rpm pressures.

2. How's the cooling in real driving operation? If OK, drive it, and ignore any pressure readings. That's your performance check: If it cools well enough for you !!!
