Make: GMC
Model: Sonoma
Engine Size: 2.2
Refrigerant Type: 134a
Okay, I just bought a GMC Sonoma and it isn't blowing cold air. I know that the clutch is engaging and the low-pressure side drops when you turn on the ac and drops more when you rev the engine. The hose returning to the compressor is not cold. I don't have a real low pressure gauge and no high pressure gauges for 134. Any suggestion on what my problem might be or how to better assess the situation? Thanks
Number one mobile a/c failure mode- loss of refrigerant due to a leak-- measure the refrigerant in your system- find and fix leak and evac and recharge to factory spec

The number one A/C diagnostic tool there is- is to know how much refrigerant is in the system- this can only be done by recovering and weighing the refrigerant!!
Just a thought.... 65% of A/C failures in my 3200 car diagnostic database (GM vehicles) are due to loss of refrigerant due to a leak......
