Which O-ring and/or kit to use?

emsvitil on Wed August 04, 2010 8:19 PM User is offlineView users profile

Year: 2005
Make: Saturn
Model: Vue
Engine Size: 2.2
Refrigerant Type: R134a
Ambient Temp: NA
Pressure Low: NA
Pressure High: NA
Country of Origin: United States

The o-rings I've found so far are the rubber surrounded by metal.

When you look up the o-rings kits at ackits.com it shows part

CP3010 o-ring kit for 1989-2005 GM which is just plain rubber o-rings.

But there is also a kit

CP3016 kit for 2005 and prior GM sealing washer kit which looks like it has the metal/rubber o-rings

Which kit should I use, and is it really ok to replace the metal/rubber o-rings with just rubber?

thanks

Both.

Sealing washer kit is for the compressor. The other kit is for all the other connections.

I'm finding the sealing washers on the hose connections..............

Didn't think sealing washers could be replaced with plain old o-rings......
