cross refencing a filter drier?

todamay on Sat July 31, 2010 9:32 AM User is offlineView users profile

Year: 1969
Make: Ford
Model: Mustang
Engine Size: 302
Refrigerant Type: 134a
Country of Origin: United States

I have a 69 mustang with after market air on it. I had a condenser leak that is now fixed and need to replace the filter/drier.
The filter /drier is an ATCO 7-4102. I cant find it locally, I am looking for this drier or the correct cross reference to an equal one.
Thanks Tod

Personally can't find any cross that would be able to be used locally.

Is there a direct replacement I can get online?

Does the dryer look like this:

Those are hose barbs under the yellow caps. If you have clamped hoses on the dryer this will fit. Otherwise we will need a pic of your dryer to match it up. There is no master catalog for aftermarket systems.

Looks just like the ones used on the 65 and newer mustangs. Flair fitting where it sttaches to the condensor on the bottom?

todamay on Sat July 31, 2010 11:32 PM User is offlineView users profile

Its not a flair fitting, it has a male o-ring style fitting

todamay, if you would take the time to read my post......there is a part number listed for the darn thing. It is readily available from most auto parts jobbers. They may have to order, but should be in over nite...or second day for sure.
