Looking to add a/c to a truck that never had a/c from the factory, are there any complete kits available? Or a complete list of OEM parts that I would need? Looks to me that the suitcase is the same just need to ad one actuator motor and the evaporator, I have heard that I would also have to have the body control module reprogrammed. I see that most of the wiring is already there for the clutch high pressure switch etc..
It would be easier, simpler, and more cost effective to trade for a truck with factory a/c- or go to a boneyard and succomb all the parts from a donor truck....

The number one A/C diagnostic tool there is- is to know how much refrigerant is in the system- this can only be done by recovering and weighing the refrigerant!!
Just a thought.... 65% of A/C failures in my 3200 car diagnostic database (GM vehicles) are due to loss of refrigerant due to a leak......
We do not show a kit available here. If we were to have the vehicle in the shop I am sure we could figure out what it needed and get the appropriate parts but without it being here to see what it does and doesn't have we don't really have any way to tell you what parts need to be purchased. Looks like the best advice is GM Tech's advice about trading it in or selling and buying something with A/C already.

not gonna happen never getting rid of this truck I have owned it since to and has to much sentimental value to me! I will probably search the wrecking yards, they the wrecking yards suggested to try the after-market for a kit first, so since there are not any available I will got back to them Thanks for your help!
funny I got an email saying bill234 replied? I don't see it anywhere?
One of the moderators deleted it. Not sure why as it was not moved to the trash can before deletion. But I would imagine it was removed for Spam reason not related to your vehicle in general. Considering it was the first post by the user good chance this was the case.
