I have a new (NEW COMPRESSOR brand) 508 sanden to replace to old YORK 508.. can i mount it 45 deg to the right.. suc side up.. ??? its holding a vacuum 2 ticks off dead vacuum... things look good... the only reason its sideways from stock is cause the fittings will only fit this way.. and is it OK that on the high injection nipple that i use a 90 deg elbow brass w/ teflon tape??? as i said vacuum is holding good..
Thanks

Tilted on it's side will not have any issues. Those pressures at idle?

Ok I give up.. i started over and flushed system... BTW i think i got rippedoff on this deal.. 14 $ for a can of flushing liquid that is greasy as all hell and has an uncanny smell and feel of mineral spirits.... io well...m gettin a vacuum to hold at 26lbs solid... is my vac pump weak?? im using the 316 snap on recharge computer 65 above sea level about 90 deg amb temp today...

BTW i have an expansion valve sys.. i tested the valve by warming it and sticking the probe in ice water.. it got easier to blow thru at warmer temps.. like 80 deg.. is this how to test it??

That is why we support the Hecat products! You always know what you are getting for a quality supplier!

What does the fact that I didn't buy from who you buy from make a difference? I got a BRAND NEW compressor for a Great price. now all I am asking for on this forum is some good advice.. not a ridicule on how I didn't buy from a certain supplier... I am asking for real knowledge.. not an AD campaign..

I don't think that Tim was referring to the compressor. You mentioned that you were not satisfied with the flushing chemical that you bought. HECAT sells quality flushing products.

Little touché!!! I was referring to the flush which in your own words you stated you got ripped off, ""BTW i think i got rippedoff on this deal.. ". As far as me running an ad campaign. The site does not run for free nor does my thousands of hours helping people on this forum over the years. It's unappreciated people like you which make me care less and less about posting responses anymore! Have a nice day and hope you find the answers you need for your project.

Shane,

First, I noticed a reference to the use of teflon tape (?). ONLY on tapered pipe (NPT) threads and stay off the first thread. If it is any other type of fitting, the tape can and will interfere with the proper seal.

No one is trying to ridicule you. You have purchased a replacement compressor (cheap) and it does not fit and someone put a gun to your head and made you buy that flush? $14 is cheap and surely is not enough to clean an RV system. How do you flush an RV system with 1 quart? Oil based flush is junk and it sounds like this may be what you purchased.

Did you do any research on flushing and the chemicals, or just bought what the parts store had or what the kid with pimples behind the counter said you need? Hit the Navigation button above and go over to the Automotive Flushing Forum and read some of the information material in the first post. It contains some very detailed information regarding flushing and the chemicals being offered today. It covers the importance of being "smarter that the label" and not (allowing yourself) to be ripped off.

Your vacuum pump in your recovery machine may be a little weak, but if it is showing 26 in vacuum and you pulled for a long time because of the large system (1 hour minimum) and it holds, you should be OK.

Were the pressures you posted at idle? You are asking for help and need to answer the questions asked, so more help will come.

The "Ad campaign" as you call it, is what pays for you to come here and get your questions answered; have you ever seen a forum that does not have some form of advertising as a means to fund operation of the site?. The site provider (TRB) does not require you to make a purchase here, to pay, or subscribe to get such help, just to be respectful.
