I have a 98 Chevy S10, The system has had a small leak that usually requires a can or so of 134a once each summer, so last summer i put in a can UV leak Detector with stop leak, the system has always worked extremely well even at idle. Now this season, i noticed that the ac compressor would kick on but when i check the low side for filling, it didnâÂÂt compress or vary the pressure when it first kicked on or at all for that matter, almost like it was not on at all, so i replaced the compressor with a used one, filled with oil, sucked out system, then recharged, now when it runs in the proper pressure range there is almost no condensation build up, and round 80 degrees inside ( 95 outside )so i overfilled a bit and the best i can get it is about 70 inside while driving higher speeds, i am so confused, before installing the new compressor i blew out all the lines condenser ect with compressed air to make sure that there is no clogs or anything any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Brett
Low and High side pressure readings at idle and 1500 rpm would help us. Don't be so sure you don't have clogged passages juts because you can blow air through a core of condenser. Adding sealer would not have been something I would have suggested doing!
