Need help finding the correct drier

justinnsu on Sat August 18, 2007 12:44 AM User is offline

Year: 1990
Make: mazda
Model: rx-7
Engine Size: 1308cc
Refrigerant Type: 134
Ambient Temp: 90-100
Country of Origin: United States

If anyone could please point me in the right direction I will be eternaly greatful. I need to buy a drier for a 1990 Mazda Rx-7. It is the GXL model, with a manual transmission and the Sanden compressor. It seems that there are 2 different driers with different size fittings for this car. My A/C system requires the larger of the two fittings. Napa can't seem to find me the correct drier, neither can autozone, advance, or the Mazda dealership. They all keep coming up with the drier that has the smaller fittings. What other retailers can I turn to for hard to find parts? Either that, or does someone have access to a part number that I can give one of these fine parts establishments so that they can order it for me? Any information any of you can provide will be highly valued.

Thanks in advance,

Justin

Thank you so much for looking that up for me. I believe the first one (14mm x 1.5) is the one I keep getting at all the local parts stores. Any suggestions on where I can get the second one?

Supposed to be a Four Seasons 34487. But they state it is not a good number.

That sucks. Anywhere else I can turn to try to find it?

Thanks,

Justin

May be simpler to change the lines to ones that fit the commonly available drier. If the rest of the system is the same between the two versions, get the in and out lines from the dealer or a parts car and they should bolt right on.
