96 Chevy Silverado A/C Line Torque/Tightening

Post by NorCal »

Have replaced basically all components of the A/C system on my 96 Chevy Silverado and can't find a torque value for the 15mm bolt that holds the Manifold/Discharge Line in place on the Compressor. Also, can't measure torque on the fittings for lines going to Receiver/Dryer, Evap. Core, and Condenser. The fitting nuts appear to be aluminum so just get them snug/tight? Thanks - David

Use Mechanic"s torque...Experience and knowing not to overtighten to avoid strip outs...
