Re: Testing TXV's
Question: Must the test be with compressed aire only? Or it must have the same output with any source of air? Let say : With a small pump, or even bow it with the mouth?
Re: Testing TXV's
this test is with the system being under a condition of charged. Make sure vehicle has run for 10 minutes or so the stabilize the refrigerant syatem.

Huh? The pdf does not describe that. I am referring to the right angle Tvx. It says remove the Tvx.
Re: Testing TXV's
And I was referring to the on vehicle test. Yes, you can use dry shop air.

Re: Testing TXV's
A thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) is built up around a thermostatic element separated from the valve body by a diaphragm. Its purpose is to regulate the rate at which refrigerant flows into the evaporator.
TXVs can contain one of three different types of charge:
universal charge
Maximum operating pressure (MOP) charge.
MOP charge with ballast (standard for Danfoss expansion valves with MOP).
