ac gasket vs oring

ok so i purchased a 99 chevy silverado 1500 5.3l with no ac components, I bought everything new as in compressor, evaporator, condenser, orfice tube, new lines, accumulator, pretty much everything. my question is how do i know where to use an oring and when to use the metal gaskets when installing the system. the kit i bought has both. seams like there is way too many orings and gaskets in the kit for what i see with the new components. any help would be appreciated and pictures if available. thank you
