finding hoses for r12 to 134a conversion

Post by Jdleverett »

just bought 4Season compressor and new condersor for ac replacements for my old Frigidaire A6 system, but cannot find new or rebuilt hoses to fit new ac system.

Does anyone know where I might find the proper hose assemblies?

May not be perfectly by the regulations, but technically one could leave the fittings as R-12 fittings and use the R-12 hoses/fittings and add R134a. You'd need to connect R134a to the center hose of the service gauge set.

I actually have an R-12 service gauge set but bought a set of short adapter hoses online to enable gauge set use for R134a.

Autozone has loaner R134a service gauge sets too.
