The oil "total" capacity for an A6 is 10 ozs for a front-only system. You will need to account for any oil remaining in the system.

It sounds like you're using one of those low-side-only charge bottles. You cannot get an accurate performance of an ac using those types of items, IMO. A complete set of ac gauges is required for proper ac work. Those pressures listed on your compressor on not system operating pressures. 55PSi with ...

I'd double-check the plumbing, Discharge on top, and liquid to the in-side of the drier. How much refrigerant was added, as mentioned? Attach the probe, it is needed!
