Re: Adding high pressure switch to older unit help.

I usually just use a little snap disc switch and a relay. Usually the compressor discharge line near the compressor is a place for mounting. https://www.mouser.com/datasheet/2/459/snap_disc_fixed_temperature_fan_limits_catalog_en_-2308879.pdf Usually by the time the discharge gets to 140f or so it i...

Re: Specs for Compressor - Calsonic 73111FA132

So this is a Subaru swapped Vanagon? That compressor crosses with A Valeo 815641 or a 4S #68653 This is a direct mount compressor with 4 bolts and peanut fittings. I have no data on displacement, and can't even say if it is piston or scroll. A SD7H15 Sanden has about as much displacement as you can ...

Re: Adding high pressure switch to older unit help.

Is this system running the original A6 compressor?

Is the original mechanical engine fan and shroud still in place?

Re: A/C line help

Post some pics when you get it done.

Always nice to see a clean swap like that, and it may help someone else with the same problems

Re: A/C line help

How about not under the compressor? And maybe not over the oil fill so you don't have to massage the discharge line when you put oil in it? Standard adaptors give you a #8 and a #10 O ring connection pointing straight up. A 90 degree bead lock fitting will send the discharge line towards the fuse bo...

Re: AC blowing hot Air when parked outside on hot days

That compressor has a speed sensor I believe. That would explain the flashing light on the A/C control head.

Since the compressor is 13 years old and likely has plenty of miles on it - if it were my vehicle I would replace it with a new OEM Denso compressor.

Re: 2007 chrysler 300 A/C not performing well at idle

All I see is some idle testing, and 80f ambient. At that ambient temperature you will not see high pressures on the high side. So how about a full load test to evaluate the compressor performance. Doors open. Cabin fan on highest speed. Engine speed to 1800+ RPM. Hold engine speed above 1800 for at ...

Re: AC blowing hot Air when parked outside on hot days

Given the age of the vehicle probably a clutch gap issue. Some of those Toyota V8 installs are difficult to get access to the compressor / clutch to deal with it.

Is the compressor spinning when this happens?
