Re: 07 accord v6 low preasures

Well, it's an 07, and the A/C on those is usually decent. A Parallel Flow condenser about 25" x 14". Electric fans. Multiple charge attempts, replaced TXV and compressor. High side is 75psi. How much refrigerant was weighed in at each charge? Any oil added? Right now it looks like a defect...

Re: 2013 Expedition Top Off

The 1500 rpm number is the important stuff. Right now you are in a safe operating area for 107 ambient and those pressures. As many have pointed out you have no idea if there is enough oil in the system for a long and happy life. I understand the circumstances mean taking a chance. It has been 112f ...

Re: What To Look For in an AC Machine?

And now that we have completely hijacked the OP's thread, let's get back to recovery machines. I have been through a couple of portable recovery units in my time working on stuff. Generally a 3/4 or 1 hp portable - because lugging anything else up on the roof is not going to happen. I started with a...

Cusser this is most likely somebody's troll account.

Besides, it is a Ford thing, you don't fix leaks -you buy fluids in larger packages.

Re: What To Look For in an AC Machine?

We will be driving gasoline cars for a very long time. Pure electrics are ok for a mild costal climate, short trips, etc. Musk is one heck of a salesman, the Tesla will be around tightly packed cities for a long time too. Even with no dealer support, full of nasty lithium batteries. The Nissan Leaf,...

Re: Another hopeless wanderer

Probably need to start with whether or not you have rear AC.

Your first test pressures were in line with what I would expect for an idle test with a high heat load like that.

Re: potential leak prior to evacuation/recharge - how to find

T Bird: Check your P/T chart for 134a At 120f the vapor pressure is 171 psi. Evaporator sees every bit of that in a car parked in the sun in places like Phoenix. So 150 is about as high as I like to go on an MVAC system. R410 in residential will make you flinch a little more. 100 psi is fine. OP was...

Re: Jeep Liberty AC Cool Not Cold

Yeah Tim, he had about 20 ounces in it with hoses, connection losses etc. High side was ok, and the TXV was working with a 22 psi low side.

The condenser is not looking like a great performer right now.
