Due to conflicting specs on the internet (and no visible sticker in the engine compartment) I added some PAG100 and later found for m y year Jeep Wrangler, 2001, I should have used PAG46. I replaced the evaporator and accumulator and added 2 ounces to each.
Could this be a problem?

Re: Intermittent cold air
Replaced the switch, compressor now starts and does NOT cycle on/off (at least for the two minutes I observed). Did have time to read pressures again today

Re: Intermittent cold air
I had a shop remove some R134A and now it's cooling all the time. Vent temps were between 42 and 48 outdoor temps were between 75 and 84 yesterday/last night. But the compressor is cycling on and off 3 or 4 times a minute. Is this some thing I should be concerned with? Others with the same wrangler ...

Re: Intermittent cold air
Would overcharging cause these symptoms? I have seen conflicting specs for the R134 (no sticker on the Jeep under the hood nothing in the owners manual either.). I put in 1.5 pounds, but now I see most specs call for 20 OZ. I also used PAG 100 and I see the spec is PAG46, would this cause any issues?

I vacuumed the system (held vacuum for 45 minutes) and filled it with 1.5 pounds of R134. On the day I filled the system it read 35 low side 225 high ...

Re: 2001 Jeep Wrangler
Charged the system over the weekend. I put in 1.5 pounds of refrigerant. Low side was 30 high side read 230. It was 90 degrees (very humid) here and the temp at the vent was 49 degrees. Does this sound good?

How much oil, when replacing evaporator?
How much oil should I add when replacing the evaporator and accumulator? What is the best way to add the oil?

I did not put any stop leak in the system. I have owed the jeep about two years.

Re: 2001 Jeep Wrangler
I didn't get the heater evap box removed yet. Does it sound normal that the compressor is cycling three or four times a minute?
