I did attempt to use the light when it was dark outside, but did not use the glasses. If I'm not wearing the glasses will I not be able to see the dye glowing?

The light came with yellow glasses, I guess I have to use them to see the dye glowing? I figured they were just to protect your eyes from the UV light.
