Re: I keep blowing-out compressor shaft seal

Not all compressors can just have a seal replaced. If you are getting them seated correctly. Chances are you compressor is shot, and can no longer accept a replacement seal.

Re: Expansion block replacement

Do not try and flush through an expansion block? Flush will not flow through them.

If it held a vacuum for 5 minutes after shutting off. Charge it. No need to let it sit over night!

Sarcasm!

Micron gauge is great if you have one. But by no means is it needed!

Re: Newly converted R12 to 134a system

Because all you have is static pressure. If it were over charged, you high would be 400/500. Not 120!

Pump is not pumping.

Re: Newly converted R12 to 134a system

High side pressure is 125 and the low side pressure is 120. I need some suggestions.

Means the compressor is not working. Clutch engaged?

Re: R12 -> R134a 1989 Porsche Kit Questions

As I stated in the email. It's been 24 years since the ban of R12. Would be very odd to get o-rings that are not compatible with R134a these days.

Nothing wrong with gathering information. But at some point you just need to dig in and get the repair done.
