Hi everyone. So I got new compressor, & instructions say, for every piece of the I'm to add 'x' more ounces of oil to the system. If I flush the system anyway, won't that remove Amy residual oil in the system? Should I add the extra amount 4 every piece? So, it says 2 drain oil from old comp & measure amount & refil the same amount old comp had. What if old comp had 2 much oil added to it? Thanks guys for the help .

By all means flush and clean the system. There are two compressors utilized on this vehicle. The Denso and a GM 'V' series. Each will utilize a different type PAG lube. The Denso, PAG 46 the GM PAG 150. Add lubricant to the body of the compressor thru the drain plug on the GM unit and to the suction side of the Denso.
Add the OE specified amount of lubricant to the compressor body.....2-3 oz....and the remainder to the system, either thru the accumulator or into the evap if a TXV system. Do not add lubricant to the condenser, this may inhibit flow at start up due to the flow characteristics of the condenser. The listing on the instruction sheet is a guide for the replacement of that particular component only. This is not intended to be a specified amount for the system.
Drain the new compressor and add back the correct amount. It is essential that this system be completed and properly recharged utilizing the correct equipment. No small cans and pressures....can almost guarantee a system failure if this procedure is followed. The lubricant flow is determined by the recharge amount and a under charged will result in loss of lubricant migration and thusly the failure of the installed compressor.
Good luck

Thanks Iceman. 2 more questions. I've got a good compressor, so was gonna flush w/ mineral spirits, then blow w/ air for 30-45 mins. Can I get a good result if I leave old compressor on, or yank it first? 2nd can I rent a hand vac pump from store & is that sufficient? Thanks again for your help.

Flushing of the heat exchanger loops should be done with the good/new compressor not installed (or disconnected and sealed). Mineral spirits works on mineral oil, but is not the best solvent choice to remove the PAG or POE used in a 134a system. Something like this would work better as it contains a co-solvent that is targeted to remove PAG & POE residues. But not just the solvent choice is important; which way to flush, how to introduce the flush, and how to remove the flush is key, you can get more of an understanding about flushing issues by reading the PDF link in my signature. Compressed air, used for servicing an A/C system, must have adequate filtering and be "paint booth" dry. A vacuum pump can be rented.

Since (IMHO) you cannot get much flushing done with a quart, it is not offered in such a small package.
