Refrigerant identifier question

AutoCool on Fri August 10, 2012 12:37 PM User is offline

Year: 2002
Make: Audi
Model: S8
Engine Size: 4.2L
Refrigerant Type: Propane
Ambient Temp: 72
Pressure Low: 30
Pressure High: 30
Country of Origin: Sweden

It seems more and more people here are buying DIY kits with the propane blends. Got a car in today, owner just bought it last week and said the AC worked well for about 3 days. The previous owner told him he had just filled the AC himself...

OK, disposable cans are illegal here so I took out my "mini ID" detector and sure enough, it failed. Propane.

My mini ID detector seems to take forever to just warm up. I was wondering if any of you have one of the bigger units and how long it takes to test a system from "off" to printed or displayed results?
