accumlator dryer with sight glass, R12 freon

hw3tnt on Tue September 08, 2015 3:54 AM User is offline

Year: 1986
Make: chevorlet
Model: C-10 Scottsdale
Engine Size: 350
Refrigerant Type: R12
Country of Origin: United States

My truck's AC accumulator dryer came without freon sight glass. Is there anywhere I can find a dryer with a freon sight glass for my truck with R12 freon?

Accumulators do not have sight glasses.

You don't need one- put in the specified amount of refrigerant- besides sight glasses were only uses on expansion valve systems......yours is a CCOT system.

-------------------------
The number one A/C diagnostic tool there is- is to know how much refrigerant is in the system- this can only be done by recovering and weighing the refrigerant!!
Just a thought.... 65% of A/C failures in my 3200 car diagnostic database (GM vehicles) are due to loss of refrigerant due to a leak......
