Help choosing source for Nissan A/C parts

Rick Fisher on Thu August 13, 2015 4:26 AM User is offlineView users profile

Year: 2006
Make: Nissan
Model: Pathfinder
Engine Size: 4.0
Refrigerant Type: 134
Ambient Temp: 101
Country of Origin: United States

My A/C compressor stopped turning all of a sudden and it was confirmed the compressor was the fault.
The mechanic recommended to just replace the compressor but I think I would rather go all the way.
I bought a condenser already and I will replace everything except the hoses.
I've seen prices from $550 for just the compressor to $150 for the entire "kit". So who should I get this kit from?

Thanks
Rick

I've got '98 (203K) and 2004 Frontier (93K), and daughter has '98 Pathfinder (128K), but fortunately those have never needed any AC service. That said: last October I needed a new compressor for my '88 B2200, and I purchased that through AMA here.
