Compressor cycling when fan running at low speed

Hi

Is it normal the compressor turns on and off every 20 seconds when the fan speed was at low setting? The compressor doesn't cycling at all if the fan was at full speed, but it starts to cycling if the fan was set at low.

Any way thanks.

The evaporator will actually be a little colder as the blower fan speed decreases, as the air has more time to shed heat to the evaporator. And in Canada as opposed to Arizona (you didn't list location), the ambient air temperature can play a role in this, as the evaporator temperature will cycle the compressor off and on to prevent ice forming on the evaporator.

I think the real question is: are you happy with the performance of the AC system?

Or could this be happening at higher fan speeds too and you simply can't hear or feel it?
