Help, 2012 Hyundai Elantra A/C

Year: 2012
Make:
Engine Size: 1.8
Refrigerant Type: 134a
Country of Origin: United States

I have been to the Dealer several times as my A/C stopped working as good as it did new. They checked for leaks the first time and found a Shrader valve leaking and replaced it with no other leaks. Ever since they touched it the first time it is blowing several degrees warmer. So I took it to dealer again yesterday and got it back today they again pulled a vacuum and recharged the system. they put on the receipt that they charged it to 1.14 pounds and the top end is 1.15 pounds and stated pressures were normal. It still is not cooling fast or as good. I was frustrated when I got home and I took my can of 134a straight 134 not any additives that I bought and put in a couple extra ounces and the performance increased. vent temps went down a couple degrees and it cools quicker. This is the second time I have added a little more after I got it back from the dealers and the performance improved. What would that indicate if the performance increases when it is slightly overfilled? I believe they are putting in the recommended amount in but it seems to perform better overfilled. What it going on?

It is possible their charging machine is not calibrated. It is possible they changed the lenght of their hoses and did not compensate for it. Hoses can hold a few ounces.

I'm hearing reports of a lot having issues with dial a charge machines. Best to weight your refrigerant.
