Evacuating AC System

chrisbrn2000 on Sat May 30, 2015 9:46 AM User is offline

Year: 2003
Make: Dodge
Model: Ram 1500
Refrigerant Type: R134A
Country of Origin: United States

I am evacuating my ac system on my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 liter to change out the heater core. My question is that when i go to run the vacuum on the system before i charge it back up, do i need to add a little oil or the oil level should still be fine. I never had a leak or anything, i just evacuated the refrigerant out to do the heater core job.

Right before you plan on charging the system. Should not need to add oil or maybe .5 ounces at the most.
