Hello all,

I have a 2002 Chevy van (15 passenger) Dual A/C system, one compressor. Rear unit is a Carrier EM-14 with a CM-2 condenser unit. It arrived at or shop out of Freon because the high pressure switch was blown off the back of the compressor. After installing new switch and recharging, I knew it would need a compressor, 150/75 @ 100 degrees. The thing that baffles me is there is no front condenser in front of the radiator. My question is, Does the rear condenser unit have enough capacity for a dual system, or am I going to replace all necessary components/flush/recharge just to have this problem keep repeating for lack of proper heat exchange?

On a side note. I found this site while searching for parts for this vehicle. Very nice!

Taking a quick look at the Carrier install data shows that front and rear air can be run with the stock located condenser or the CM-2 unit.
