Just got an 05 trailblazer. Has dual zone hvac and rear a/c. I think. Pass vent is cold. Not great. 50f? Driver side is 60f. I felt receiver inlet/outlet lines and both are warm. No sweating of course. Pass vent feels ok in 80f air temp. But warm receiver?
It's undercharged. There is only enough refrigerant to fill up half of the evaporator, so the air on one side is cool but the other is not. And of course none makes it to the receiver.
I just got TB few weeks ago. I had battery out. Seems there is lots of info online about funky blend door motors that die when battery is unhooked. Both driver/pass temp controls do adjust vent temp from cold to hot. U can crawl under knee panel and watch driver module function. I have not done it yet. Car is at kids house so I will have to head over to investigate more. I have not found charge decal yet.
