Hi,

I am replacing my compressor, dryer, and expansion valve. Everything else will be flushed so there will be no oil in the system. I know 4.1 oz. of oil is required, and here is my question?

Add all of the oil to the compressor? Or split it between the compressor, dryer, evaporator and condenser? Also, how much to each component?
I’ve been told to add it too many ways. I need to know the correct method.

Thanks for your help.

Add to compressor and turn clutch hub by hand a few times.

Is this true for any system, including accumulator systems?

The only component that requires oil is the compressor. I always add the oil charge to the compressor, and then turn the hub 10 revolutions.
