People,
helped a friend fix his ac- we put in freon, and got cold ac!! But, the mystery is the comp- its acting soooo funny- the clutch clicks on for 3 seconds, and then shuts off for 3 seconds, then repeats over and over!! I first thought needs a new comp, but, hey, we're getting cold ac!! Whats up with this clutch? How can a comp deliver high psi with clutch engaging for only a few seconds, then disengaging like that? Was this a Ford thing?

actually, going from memory- clutch may only be engaging for even less than 3 seconds. May even be just 1-2 seconds. Man..........(scratching 3 day old beard stubble, curious.....)

Possibly overcharged- and you have got high pressure cut-outs-- but your gage set does not show it due to the location of yor gage port relative to the hpco switch..

The number one A/C diagnostic tool there is- is to know how much refrigerant is in the system- this can only be done by recovering and weighing the refrigerant!!
Just a thought.... 65% of A/C failures in my 3200 car diagnostic database (GM vehicles) are due to loss of refrigerant due to a leak......

What's your ambient temperature? In low ambient temperature a CCOT will cycle a lot because there isn't much need for cooling. It's hard to test any system properly below about 75 F. You could try jumping the low side switch -- if it still cycles it is something like GM Tech said, if it runs constantly and the air gets even colder you have a triggerhappy low side switch that needs to be replaced. Don't jumper the high side switch of course.

Strange- I thought I replied here last night, but Oh well, lemme try it again...
Ambient temp was about 75, come to think of it- it was at altitude of about 6000 feet, and near dusk, so couldnt be that warm. Maybe thats it, huh mk?
