Can someone tell me what's going on by looking at the pic?

Thanks much.

Looks like oil and sealer mix to me. But that's just a guess.

Been awhile since I been on here. Wasn't that referred to as BLACK DEATH?

pippo on Tue June 05, 2012 7:16 PM User is offline

The way I understand it, after doing much reading, B Death is not 100% understood- some say its from "metallic " parts/shards/shavings, some say its a combo of teflon shards mixed with the comp oil and gaspossibly having ben mixed with the wrong non compatable refrigerants/oils, making a slurry of goo, etc etc. I believe it all started with a really bad year with Ford ac parts/compressors.........just my take on it- Im sure the guys here can contribute as well......

Black death got transformed into any and all failures. The main cause of black death was the FX15 compressor. Metal & Teflon and burnt oil. That looks a lot like normal wear from a used up compressor. What I find interesting is the while particles in it.

Could also say, what difference does it make what it is, its broke. Sure looks like an orifice out of an MVAC system out of a certain model, make, year, engine vehicle. Care to share that information?

Orifice is clogged with a lot of foreign material (metal paticulate, burnt oil, possible sealer, etc.); system needs a flush.
