Year: 2003
Make: Kenworth
Model: T2000
Engine Size: ISX
Refrigerant Type: 134a
Ambient Temp: 45
Country of Origin: United States

Hello All -

The inside of my shop is approximately 45 degrees F.

I have to go to Florida next week, where it will be 85 degrees F.

Does the 2.2 x to 2.5 x ambient equation work in such a cold shop environment?

If so, do I stop charging at 100 psi to 112 psi on the high side? I have a custom system, so I am unsure the exact weight of the refrigerant required.

Thanks.

Give it a try and record the amount of refrigerant used. It's all going to depend on the amount of hose and the size of the evap and cond? I personally think it is hard to get proper readings in low ambients.
