10S series Compressor

Do you guys know if the 10S17 compressor have a premature failure due to valve damage?

I'm not aware of any known issues with this line of compressors.

Wize,
Chrysler had a big warranty expense with a lower cost valve design on the 10S17 some years ago. Denso's USA division made the screwup and Japan never accepted the poorly validated change.
JMHO: That's what happens when bean counters run a company and allow inexperienced engineers to take foolish risks with inadequate factors of safety and non real life (slugging) validation programs.
Denso had to cover this expense and returned to the more robust/former valve design.
