Can anyone please help me find correct size / type of clutch bearing for my 2002 Nissan Maxima
Need to order and have bearing before repairing to avoid long down time
Easy enough on these things to pull the hub and idler pulley, look at the rear of the pulley can get the bearing number off of it and slap it back on. These are typically double roll double sealed ball bearings. If I can't find a number, wonder what kind of piece of crap they tossed in there. Have to get out my micrometers, and measure the OD, ID, and thickness to find a replacement, typically all metric sizes.
Try to find a bearing made in the USA, Canada, or even Japan, while the latter use to be crap, but anything is better than one made in China. Another alternative is to go to your dealer and purchase a new clutch assembly, bring your credit card. Actually not much more to purchase a quality rebuilt, check with Tim with a new clutch assembly already installed.
