97' Dodge Ram Low Pressure Cutoff Switch

rnoecker on Thu May 19, 2011 5:14 PM User is offline

Year: 1997
Make: Dodge
Model: Ram
Engine Size: 5.9Diese
Refrigerant Type: R416A
Country of Origin: United States

I have replaced 134a with 416a refrigerant. 416a runs at a lower pressure than 134a. My question is how do I change the low cutout switch setting from 24 to 19psi? I called the Dodge dealer and thay told me that the low cutout switch is not adjustable. Do thy make an adjustable low pressure cutout switch?

R-416a should not be used in factory R-134a systems. It contains chlorine in the R-124 component of the mixture, which is incompatible with PAG oil.

I currently have 416a in the 134a system. What do you recommend my next steps should be to correct the issue?
Thanks
